React - FAQ
WHY IS REACT NOT AVAILABLE IN MY COUNTRY?
The range of markets that we support is largely limited by our publishing partners Microsoft, Google & Apple. Our partners are usually adding additional markets every few months though, so we try to support these as and when they become available.
CAN REACT BE PLAYED WITH A MOUSE?
Yes, however we generally do not recommend it. Most players will find using a mouse (at the speed & accuracy that React requires) much harder. Level timings (for all skills) were specifically designed for touch screens.
WHY ARE MY SCREEN TOUCHES NOT REGISTERING?
React can be played on a wide array of devices and therefore a wide array of different screens. Some are more responsive than others and it could be that one device\screen is better at registering touches than another.
Depending on your device, you may find it beneficial to aim slightly ahead of a coin or pickup. The idea being that by the time your finger has touched the screen, the coin or pickup will be under it.
Another good idea is to touch the screen with the tip of your finger, rather than the flat part. That approach always produces better results.
WHY CAN’T I ACHIEVE A PERFECT GAME ON A SPECIFIC SKILL\LEVEL? - IT’S TOO DIFFICULT!
The skill & levels in React took months of constant playing and tweaking to achieve a good overall balance. No two players are the same though, so that meant targeting new\casual players on the easiest skill, through to experienced\advanced players on the hardest.
If you’re struggling though, here are a few simple tips that should help…
Try changing your approach if you’re repeatedly stuck with a particular skill\level.
Some levels work better using one hand\finger and other levels better with two hands\fingers.
Sometimes it’s better to wait before collecting a pickup (e.g. waiting for more coins to spawn before collecting a slow down or attract powerup)
Practice makes perfect! This is true for most things in life, React included :-)
WHAT IS UP WITH TIME BOOSTS? - ISN’T THAT CHEATING OR A CASH GRAB?
Time boosts were added as a way to help those who are genuinely struggling to complete a level on a particular skill.
This might sound strange, but we actually recommend that you do not use or purchase them. Completing the game using the normal level timings is far more rewarding. The tips above are a great starting point, should you find a particular level or skill too difficult.
Because time boosts also gift you extra time, using them will mean your completion time (and therefore personal bests) will actually be slower. So if you’re competing against others, you should avoid using them.
